Is LPUNEST Tough? Honest Difficulty Level, Exam Pattern & Negative Marking (2027)

Short answer: LPUNEST is not tough if your Class 11–12 basics are clear. It is much closer to a board-level objective test than to JEE Advanced. • Questions are mostly NCERT-level concepts and direct formula application, not long multi-step problems.
• Speed matters more than depth. You have 150 minutes for 100 questions — about 1.5 minutes per question.

Is there negative marking in LPUNEST?

Recent LPUNEST patterns have had no negative marking — wrong or unattempted answers don't cut marks. That changes your strategy: never leave a question blank. 2. Take full timed mocks on a computer screen — at least 5 before your exam date.
3. Do English every day for 20 minutes: reading comprehension, grammar and vocabulary.
4. Answer easy questions first, mark the tough ones, and come back.
