LPU Entrance Exam 2027: What LPUNEST Is, Who Needs It & How to Apply

If you are searching for the LPU entrance exam 2027, the exam you need is LPUNEST — the Lovely Professional University National Entrance and Scholarship Test. It decides two things at once: your admission eligibility and the scholarship you get on tuition fee. Here is everything in one place, written by an LPU alumnus.

Which entrance exam does LPU conduct?

LPU conducts its own exam, LPUNEST, for B.Tech, MBA, Law, Design, Hotel Management, Sciences, Pharmacy and many other UG and PG programmes. There is no separate "LPU entrance exam" — LPUNEST is it.

Who needs to take it?

• Most applicants who want an LPU scholarship. Your LPUNEST score decides your scholarship category, so even if you qualify another way, giving LPUNEST can lower your fee.
• B.Tech applicants can generally also be considered on JEE Main or CUET scores — check the eligibility on your programme's page on lpu.in.
• Only Indian nationals apply through LPUNEST.

Eligibility is programme-specific. For example, B.Tech CSE generally asks for 60% aggregate in 10+2 with Physics, Maths and English. See LPU B.Tech CSE Admission 2027 for details.

LPU entrance exam 2027 dates

Dates as per the LPUNEST 2027 B.Tech schedule reported on 1 Oct 2026 (Careers360). LPU can extend dates or add phases — always confirm on lpu.in before booking your slot.

Why the score matters: scholarship

LPUNEST is also a scholarship test. A higher score puts you in a higher scholarship category, and on many programmes that means up to 50% off tuition — which can be worth lakhs over a 4-year degree. Prepare with our syllabus and 30-day plan and read the LPU Scholarship 2027 guide.
